Szara Gęś

Within one of the most coveted locales on Kraków's market square, nestled among some of the most exclusive tables in town, 'The Grey Goose' has confidently established itself as one of the city's best places for an exquisite, romantic dinner or special event. The kitchen has carved out a unique niche, offering innovative modern dishes borne out of Polish tradition, with an emphasis on poultry. In fact, go ahead and make your entire meal goose-themed if you can - from a foie gras appetiser, to the leg of goose confit, to the signature 'Szara Gęs' dessert. Actually resembling an oversized goose egg in a nest, this last invention is so over-the-top it deserves to be applauded. As does the entire experience, from the beautiful interior (that's hardly grey, but rather bursting with colour) to the excellent service, to the food itself. Bravo.
