Pen Klub

One of Ljubljana's most storied restaurants (and Bohemian author and artist hangouts) has been renovated, reopened and reimagined by the ubiquitous Kaval Group, which operates more than a dozen restaurants and cafés around town, including the award-winning Strelec at Ljubljana Castle. Pen Klub's kitchen has been turned over to one of our favourite young Slovenian chefs, Mojmir Šiftar, whose innovative approach to modern cuisine is an absolute treat for the palate, while still paying respect to Slovenia's and Pen Klub's storied culinary traditions. Sitting down for multicourse tasting menu in one of Pen Klub's intimate dining rooms is a highly recommendable gastronomic experience for any and all gourmands living in or just passing through Ljubljana.
