One of the few grander establishments on the Rynek that actually serves a proper meal, what we admire most about U Jana is its reliability. This veteran venue is in fact your best bet on the market square not only for food, but also accommodation and maybe even a drink but they could have a better selection of local beers. Yes, you could start your day here as their scrambled eggs are really rather excellent, or return in the evening to choose from the full menu of Polish fare at even fairer prices, including sumptious steaks. The interior features a salon of comfortable leather love-seats before room after room of sloppy portraits and reproductions of famous nationalist paintings. Completely old-fashioned and enjoyable for it.
