Perhaps a sad indictment of Kraków's live music scene, this large club/concert hall inconveniently located in the city's university district on the fringe of the centre was once Kraków's top concert venue for touring acts from abroad (now there's ICE and Kraków Arena, but still a lack of decent medium-sized venues like this one). That's not to take anything away from Studio itself, the concert experience in this intimate, university club can be amazing, and its stage has hosted acts like The National, Morrissey, Anna Maria Jopek and many more, as well as cabarets and festival events. A property of AGH (the Mining & Metallurgy University), the building also includes BGH (Browar Górniczo-Hutniczy) - a university-owned brewery whose taps keep great, exclusive beers flowing through the Klub Studio bar. Overall, this is one of the best concerts venues in town, but the Polish hip-hop heavy line-up caters to the interests of the students that fill the dorms surrounding it, and rarely includes any international acts of interest these days. If you do happen to be attending an event, hop on bus 139, 159, 173, 208 or 501 getting off at the 'Miasteczko Studenckie AGH' stop; alternatively a cab from the centre costs 15-20zł.
