This glorified socialist culture centre is one of the premier venues in Silesia and it has been hosting pop stars, touring bands, dance troupes and orchestras from near and far for over 50 years. Recent performers include Michael Bolton, Chris Botti, Dead Can Dance, Stomp, the Moscow City Ballet, Harlem Gospel Choir and the one and only Lord of the Dance. While the building may not look like much on the outside, inside is a state of the art venue with lighting, video and sound gear to meet any weathered rock star’s unreasonable demands. Sit comfortably in the 2,000 seat theatre as the performers make you forget where you are. Check their website often (or check our events section) and make sure to purchase your tickets well in advance because events here are known to sell out pretty quick.
