Many places claim to be a 'dive bar' and this former munitions factory is about as close to that description as you will in central Gdańsk. Like a high school art project gone wrong, the aesthetic mish mash of Czudner SPOT in Dolne Miasto is symbolic of its program of concerts and other cultural events - raves, metal gigs, artisan markets, movie sessions - just to name a few. The area will continue to gentrify, but for now, Czudner is, substance wise, as satisfying as it looks. Most English-speaking visitors to Gdańsk won't venture out into Dolne Miasto, even though it's quite safe these days. However, if you consider yourself to be young and culturally 'alternative', this place is a must visit!
