With the Poznań Market Square under heavy construction, Plac Wolności has its time to shine as the centre of Poznań's largest Christmas market in 2023. It's here that you'll find the largest amount of market stalls selling holiday gifts, decorations and handicrafts, as well as hot food and sweets, including hot spiced wine. Plac Wolności will also host a large Christmas tree illuminated by ENERGOrower. With Plac Wolności doing the heavy lifting for the market square this year, many of the carnival rides and other attractions typically found here during the festive season have moved elsewhere - namely Rynek Łazarski, Plac Kolegiacki and the Poznań International Fair.
