Built in 1599 in the village of Knurów, immediately southwest of neighbouring Gliwice, this charming little wooden church was abandoned by its congregation in 1926 when it became too small to accommodate the worshippers in its parish. Empty and slowly falling to pieces for almost a decade, the good people of Chorzów adopted it, took it apart, and moved it to its current location in September 1935.
