If it’s good enough for the likes of Martin Luther, Bach and Schumann, all former patrons, it’s good enough for everyone. A warm, lively atmosphere makes Leipzig’s oldest public house (completely rebuilt in the mid-1990s) a favourite of both locals and visitors. The food comes from traditional Thuringian and Franconian recipes, and the beers and some wines are regional products.
