From the 18th century until 2001, a brewery stood on this site. Now the subject of major redevelopment which is seeing the building of apartments and the cleaning up of the two nearby streams, parts of the old brewery can still be seen including the gates which carry an excerpt from Grass’ Dog Years. It is hoped that once the redevelopment is completed that a microbrewery will form part of the new complex.
